I started Cherry Road Homestead as a way to connect the flowers we were growing here on our small farm with our community. We connected with local clients through farmer's markets and retail; I was also reaching out to local florists to see if they were interested in buying our flowers, and was lucky enough to connect with a florist mentor (who I still refer to as my "florist godmother"), who agreed to take me on as an apprentice and teach me the way of the wedding floral industry. With a background of years of growing and learning about flowers, a bit of design knowledge, and connecting with the wonderful wedding vendors in the area, I have settled nicely into a groove of wedding floral design.
What started as a way for me to pay for my gardening hobby has taken me to some of the most beautiful venues in Michiana and allowed me to work with some of the most amazing couples. I strive to combine beautiful locally grown flowers and foliage with some of the highest quality imported blooms I can get my hands on, and the results are truly outstanding.
Flowers are my love, my inspiration, my calm, and my wild. I am inspired every day by the sights, sounds, smells and textures of the garden. My floral designs tend toward a garden-inspired feel, meaning there is lots of movement, loose edges, and usually a few surprises tucked in. Having the opportunity to both grow the flowers AND design with them feels like the perfect balance in this industry. I am happiest when digging, and when creating beauty, and I love that somehow those two things go hand in hand.
I'm so happy you have chosen to visit our page. Take a look around and feel free to reach out for a chat.
I'll see you among the flowers.

As Cherry Road Homestead grew, it became obvious we needed to bring on staff to assist with larger events, from behind-the-scenes work to on-site service. In 2022, my sister Megan assisted with weddings as needed. In 2023, I brought on our first team members; in 2024 we added more wonderful women to assist our clients. My goal from the beginning has been to build a team full of good energy, who wanted to be all-in on "team bride" for each client we serve.
They pin boutonnieres, straighten centerpieces, and laugh at dad jokes. They go on food runs, sweep petals off the floor (time and time again), and dab the water off bouquet stems. They are such a remarkable group of women, with families and lives of their own, who choose to give their time and energy to the Cherry Road Homestead and our clients with such passion and grace.
As we continue to grow together, I hope to continue to be a safe and uplifting space where we can let our creative juices flow and leave everything on the table for our clients.
